Chapter 1: Three Hungry Goats
Once upon a time there were three billy goats, and their family name was Gruff. There was Little Billy Goat Gruff, Middle Billy Goat Gruff and Big Billy Goat Gruff. They lived on a hillside where all the grass had been nibbled away. Across the river, on the other hillside, the grass was green and tall and full of flowers.
