Privacy Policy

KidAI app was developed by Murat ÖZTÜRK. This SERVICE is provided by Murat ÖZTÜRK and is intended to be used as is. The app is free to download, and KidAI Premium is a paid subscription.

This page informs visitors about my policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decides to use my Service.

By using my Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. The Personal Information I collect is used to provide and improve the Service. I will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, accessible at KidAI unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

Who KidAI Is For

KidAI is made for parents, guardians and other adults aged 18 or over, who create stories and read or listen to them together with a child. You must be 18 or older to use the Service. Children should use the app only with an adult, and purchases and settings sit behind a parent check.

Information Collection and Use

To create stories, the Service asks the parent for a child's first name, age, gender, a chosen character and the story language. The parent may also add the child's skin tone, hair colour, hair style and eye colour, so the pictures look more like the child. These looks are optional. This information, the stories created from it and an anonymous device identifier are stored on KidAI's own servers so the stories can be shown again. The servers also keep reading progress, story ratings, invite codes, subscription status and notification settings, plus a push token if notifications are allowed. No account, email address or phone number is required to use the app.

The app uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you.

  • AI services that write the stories, draw the illustrations and record the narration (such as Google Gemini, Google Cloud Text-to-Speech, Replicate, Black Forest Labs, DeepInfra, ElevenLabs, Microsoft Azure, OpenAI or Anthropic, or KidAI's own models on RunPod GPU servers, depending on our current settings). They receive only what is needed for the story: the story choices and the child's first name, age and gender, plus any optional looks the parent has added. No photos of children are collected.

Analytics and Log Data

The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to record which screens are opened, when a story is created and when a purchase is started. These records can include device and app details such as the device model, operating system version, app version and time of use, together with the anonymous device identifier. In current versions of the app, the record of a created story also includes the child's first name. On Android, Firebase may also read the device's advertising ID if the device allows it. KidAI shows no ads.

KidAI's servers and hosting provider may process your IP address to deliver the Service.

Cookies

Cookies are small files commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. This Service does not explicitly use cookies. However, third-party code and libraries used by the app may use cookies to collect information and improve their services. You can choose to accept or refuse these cookies. Refusing cookies may limit some functionalities of the Service. On the website, your settings and the anonymous device identifier are kept in your browser's local storage.

Service Providers

I may employ third-party companies and individuals for these reasons:

  • To facilitate the Service
  • To provide the Service on my behalf
  • To perform Service-related tasks
  • To assist in analyzing how the Service is used

These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform tasks on my behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for other purposes.

Security

Your trust is important to me, and I strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for adults aged 18 or over and is not directed at children. A parent or guardian may enter a child's first name, age, gender and optional looks to personalise a story. This is used to write, illustrate and narrate that story and is never used for advertising. A profile can be deleted at any time in the app. Deleting a profile does not delete the stories already made from it. To delete stories or all of your data, write to support@kidai.app. I do not knowingly let children create accounts or provide personal information themselves. If you believe a child has done so, please contact me and I will delete it.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Please review this page periodically. Changes will be posted here with the updated date.
