The Lion and the Mouse

Deep in a sunny forest, a great lion lay fast asleep under a shady tree. His tummy was full, and he was snoring softly in the warm grass. Along came a little mouse, scampering home with a seed in his mouth. He was in such a hurry that he did not look where he was going. Up he ran over the lion's big paw, across his back, and right over the tip of his nose. The lion sneezed and opened his eyes. Quick as a flash, his heavy paw came down and caught the little mouse underneath it. 'Who dares to wake the king of the forest?' the lion growled, bending his great head down to look.
