How the story begins
Chapter 1: Building Plans
Once upon a time, three little pig brothers lived with their mother in a small cottage on a hill. One morning their mother said, “My dears, you are big now. It is time for each of you to build a home of your own. Build it strong, and watch out for the big bad wolf.” The brothers kissed her goodbye and set off down the road. Soon they met a farmer with a cart of golden straw, and the youngest pig asked for a bundle. Then they met a woodcutter with a load of sticks, and the middle pig took an armful. At last, they met a man with a wagon of red bricks, and the eldest pig chose those.
