How the story begins
Chapter 1: A Very Thirsty Crow
Once upon a time, there was a long, hot summer. The sun shone every single day, and not one drop of rain fell from the sky. The ponds dried up, the streams grew thin, and the puddles disappeared. High above the dusty fields flew a shiny black crow. "Caw, caw! I am so thirsty," she croaked.
