Once upon a time, a woodcutter and his wife lived at the edge of a great forest with seven sons. The youngest was so tiny that, when he was born, he was hardly bigger than a thumb. So everyone called him Little Thumb.
He was quiet, and the others often forgot he was there. But Little Thumb noticed everything.
